Today is the DAY

Wife perspective;
We are driving west. It’s sunny & bright and 14 degrees. We picked up our beastly friend Fleetwood after work yesterday; whom we haven’t seen in a year. Butterflies. Yup. I haven’t driven something over a standard passenger vehicle in a year and I feel I got real good at parking this beast last year, however was needed. Hum. Time to build that confidence again.

How many times have I been asked if the chicken noodle soup is packed, liptons, as it was a key food in the finishing the run last summer. A LOT. And yes it’s packed, along with all sorts of other things and apparently a lot of chips. A comment was made by my mom last night about our snacks cupboard. Yup. A lot of junk food gets consumed.
As we tucked in to bed last night shortly before midnight after packing for what felt like a pandemic; we actually fell asleep. I wasn’t sure if the excitement, mixed with nerves would allow a peaceful slumber.

Well here is to another adventure of saying yes to the open road and being as ready as we can be for what all occurs these next 8 days.

Also, happy 50th anniversary to my parents, today. Now that’s a feat to be proud of!
