Good Night

Wife perspective; well he did it, he did an evening stint on the highway. And we may have found a new member for our T-Can shoulder club. Chris came back out to complete all the Thursday miles.

Tonight the guys walked. Shannon seemed upbeat and the positive thinking re-emerges; hopeful it will now remain.  He really wanted to visualize being in a happy place; strolling the neighborhoods around the inn during the evenings in Palm Springs. Well he was really happy to have an 8+ mile evening walk with a good friend.

I have to say the last mile or more were not my favorite; not because it was dark (don’t worry the boys did a wardrobe change at mile 5 to be reflective) but because of the mosquitos. It hasn’t even crossed my mind that back home the mosquitos are insane and that we’ve dealt with nothing more then grasshoppers jumping at us while on this run. I hate mosquitos and they keep me inside, so glad we’ve had very little experience with them on this run.

More tins consumer before bed (ravioli & alphageties); I was told I shouldn’t be offended that right now he can stomach things from tins and my culinary skills are sitting idle. Apparently milk has become a favoured drink as pretty much everything else is now revolting to him. He thinks we may need to buy a cow to support his new drinking habit.

So my sadness; just wanted to say that I came to peace with the situation and now I’m even more relieved as I learnt this evening what I thought I’d done; wrecked an expensive appliance actually wasn’t wrecked. Whew. I know people have kind hearts but I felt horrible thinking I’d ruined something of someone’s .

The following photo may be too much for some, especially if viewing during your breakfast. Discretion is advised for the weak stomached. Dedicated to Pastor Kris.
