Uplifting Waves

We arrived in Austin after another 6+ miles of running this evening. A thin cloud cover made for a very pleasant evening of running.

Early into my evening run I got a huge boost when two young men in a car extended their arms through the sunroof and gave me a big wave. This was followed immediately by two men on motorcycles giving equally large waves. You four men will probably never read this and probably don’t even remember anymore what you did, but it gave me the lift I needed to run when my legs felt maxed out. Thank you!

The wife Perspective; wow manitoba is a place with all
sorts to see. Jackson Lake was a real hidden gem; 10 km down the worst gravel roads, in the middle of farm and cattle country. The water was so clear and shallow, wonderful. Until some adults who setup their lawn chairs  in the lake (in the location the photo shoot had previously occurred) started to disturb the peace & tranquility (who were on something)  by acting  like idiots, blaring their metallic (nothing else matters, don’t get me wrong I like that song, my brother played it on guitar at our wedding) out of their beat up white pick up truck, while doing donuts on the beach (awfully close to where I was laying). When the guy finally had enough ‘fun’ in his truck he got out and decided to come my way to cuss me out because he really didn’t like the sound of our RV generator; he let me know in colourful language that if we didn’t turn it off, he’d take his truck and back in to our RV. I kindly let him know we were leaving and I calmly packed up all my beach stuff and walked to the RV; at which point I through everything in and alerted the resting Shannon we were out of here and told him to secure whatever loose items ASAP so I could fire Fleetwood up and hit the gravel road.
